Scarecrows on the Square
Registration Form
Scarecrows on the Square is a great way to have fun and gives the community a chance to discover local businesses and organizations. You are welcome to advertise with signs of any kind as long as they are fastened tightly to your scarecrow or a surrounding landmark. Remember, your scarecrow can be more than something used to scare away crows in a corn field – you can use it to advertise your business or to convey a message!
There are two categories for participation:
Business:
Any Business interested is welcome to participate. There is NO charge for businesses to display their Scarecrow this year! They are allowed to display their business name on the Scarecrow to promote their business.
Non-Business:
(1) NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
(2) INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES
Any organization, individual or family interested is welcome to participate. There is NO charge for participation in this category. They can display their organization, individual and family name on the Scarecrow.
Taste of Hummelstown

Join us for A Taste of Hummelstown - an exciting community event where you can mingle and enjoy the charm of the town square. Local businesses will line Main Street, showcasing their best offerings at assigned tables. Upon exchanging tickets for wristbands, attendees will receive a dining guide featuring the participating spots. Sample delectable bite-size dishes while a DJ sets the mood with music. Local wineries and breweries will also be part of the experience. All ticket proceeds will benefit various Hummelstown service organizations and charities. Don't miss out on this opportunity to savor, connect, and give back!
Holiday Happenings
Santa Claus is coming to town…to Hummelstown Holiday Happenings. The Hummelstown Business & Professional Association will sponsor their annual holiday event.
Santa Claus will arrive at the square by fire truck at 1 PM and will be available to listen to the lists of children till 5 PM. Local businesses will sponsor open houses and activities for young and old alike including making ornaments and crafts, decorating cookies, enjoying refreshments, viewing a movie, listening to holiday readings, and shopping specials. Music throughout the day will be provided by a DJ.
The event will end with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in the square at 5:30 PM. Sponsored by the Hummelstown Community Foundation, Santa and Miss Hummelstown will light the Christmas tree.
The Hummelstown Community Singers will lead the caroling.
